Mocha the hamster

It's so tender that I can't stop seeing it.

While the golf fields grow green,
And the poshes in their prisons,
speed around to be seen,
I can't help but laugh,
at the irony of it all,
That I hold my thimble up,
for a spoonful of water, that's all.
Spoonful, spoonful, spoonful.
A spoonful of your precious water,
Will satisfy my soul.
There's no crying about it.
Spoonful.
There's no lying about it.
Spoonful.
A spoonful of your precious water,
Will make this square world a whole.

I found the following poem and I want to share with you.

My Hamster of Gold

by Kim

I have a hamster whose fur is as beautiful as gold.
Her eyes are as black as the midnight sky.
Every time that I look at her she has a twinkle of love in her eye.
That twinkle of love lets me know that she is glad to be mine.
I love her
Yes it's true
And that is why
I'm sharing this poem with you.
Her name is Marygold
And she brightens my every day
In each and every special way.
